Join the Earthdance Community Network

As the world of media rich Social Networks grows, niche networks seem to be popping up. Some music festivals have been creating their own social networks such as High Sierra Music Festival, Bonnaroo, and one of my all time favorite festivals, Earthdance. These differ from the old fashioned form of online forums such as Burning Man’s E-Playa because they allow users to create their own identities, profiles, photos, videos and become “friends” with other users of the network. They are mini Facebooks or MySpace sites for interest-specific groups.

Social networking meets live art creation…

For those of you interested in design and art, I found this killer website where different illustrators and artists post their artwork and have it rated by other artists and users. It’s called “Rate My Drawing.” The cool thing is that they don’t just upload images to the site, but they use the built in software in the website to digitally create the art. Take a second to find a piece of art you like and watch the artist create it. Very cool.
