The Sacred Centers Caduceus Chakra Graphic

One of my lifelong friends and self-adopted mother figures, Anodea Judith, is one of the world’s foremost experts on the chakra system. She is the founder of Sacred Centers and shares her transformational messages though her books, videos and workshops. Recently she hired me to work with her on a unique image of a caduceus that is inter-related to the chakras, the human body and the planet. Here is the final graphic as well as many of the variations we created along the...

Let the 2010 Harmony Festival campaign begin!

Like a child seeing the ice cream cone, but unable to taste it yet, you have been teased… Yes folks, it’s official. The Harmony Festival rises from the ashes of another fantastic festival season and prepares to launch next year’s chain of community gatherings off once again. We really haven’t decided on this year’s look, but for now I thought a simple tree on the horizon would say it all. Steadfast… here… ready. I am a quiver with...

Emerald Cup Poster

The Emerald Cup is a benefit event in the northern hills of Mendocino County where they celebrate herbal living. Northern California definitely has it’s own idea of what it means to “go green.” This was a fun project to design as I was able to integrate ganja imagery into a stoic, competitive, championship trophy design. It’s not often you’re asked to surround your designs with pot leaves and I enjoyed the opportunity.       The Emerald Cup is a benefit

The Penofin Rebranding Process

The Penofin Rebranding Process

I completed these designs a while back, but wanted to share a process I enjoy where I polish up and give a facelift to an already existing logo. I’ve been working with Penofin since mid 1997 and would have to say they’re my oldest corporate client. Great company, great product, great people to work with.         Here is what their logo looked like for many years: This is what the final logo looked like after the re-branding process: Nothing like some effects and polishing to bring out the beauty of an already-effective...

Sea Of Dreams graphics…

I recently completed this year’s campaign design for Sea Of Dreams – an amazing New Year’s Eve event that happens every year in San Francisco. I did their graphics from 2003-2005 and they decided to have me back this year for their 10-year anniversary. Check out seaofdreamsnye.com for more information about the event. Once again I had the honor of working with one of my favorite artists on this design, Andrew Gonzalez. Be sure to check out his website at sublimatrix.com . I can’t wait to see these in print and all over the Bay Area! CLICK ON THUMBNAIL TO SEE LARGER...

Sea of Dreams Teaser Poster

I was happy to discover that the producers of Sea of Dreams sat down and considered a number of various designers in the music industry for this year’s campaign and they chose me! I haven’t designed the S.O.D. poster since 2005 and I’m excited to be a part of this project once again. Here’s the teaser poster that I created last night. Also, here’s another Art Nouveau version I created that they didn’t end up going with – but I did like anyway.

Earthways At Ocean Song

I recently completed a poster & flyer for Ocean Song. Ocean Song is a beautiful piece of cooperative land in Western Sonoma County where they host events, workshops and other great stuff. Last summer I went there with a group of 50 friends to do their ropes course. What a thrill!

The Techno-Tribal Community Dance 10 Year Anniversary!

Aaaah my absolute favorite projects every year. This is the 10-year anniversary of the Techno-Tribal Dance and I decided to collaborate with my friend Andrew Jones on this year’s poster. He’s an absolutely brilliant artist and it was an honor to work with him on this project. He illustrated my vision beyond my wildest imagination. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Andrew. Not only do I have the honor of being the designer of the graphics, but I am also the lead producer of the Mystic Beat Lounge which produces the event with the generous support of the Harmony Festival. I...

Blossoms of beer…

Here are some designs I just completed for Hopmonk. The event coincides with Sebastopol’s Apple Blossom Festival (thus the apple tree in the background). I’ve never gone for that ‘ye old beer pub’ design look before, but very much enjoyed it. I hope you do too!

HopMonk Design

One of the best local venues for live music here in the North Bay Area is The Abbey at the Hop Monk Tavern it’s regularly bumping with an amazing array of bands and DJ’s from all over. The beer is great and the vibe is always fun. I’m excited that they’ve become my new design client as music related design brings me the greatest joy as an artist. Here are a couple posters I created for Hop Monk this weekend.       Click on the thumbnails to see large...

This weekend’s late night design work…

Ah the fruits of my late night creative time. I often wonder why it is that I don’t get in my super creative “zone” until the wee hours of the night. Maybe it’s the old raver in me. Just finished the new Harmony Festival website design.

I’m in the midst of a number of great graphics projects that I’m very excited about including the complete re-design of the Harmony Festival website. This was a collaborative project between myself and my good friend Bill Kennedy, known far and wide as the infamous InflataBill. Be sure to check out...
